A little about me…  My name is Denise Belcher and I am an Equine Physical Therapist in Lexington, KY.  I have been an equine therapist for about 12 years now and I love my job.  I have worked on some of the best horses in the world and for the first time have a racehorse of my own getting ready to run.  I decided to do this blog for horse owners out there to see that there are alternatives to treating injuries and maybe better understand their horses.  I use laser, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, acupressure, craniosacral therapy and the Zamar hot and cold compression unit, which as it turnsout is my most critical piece of equipment.  I will explain the uses of this equipment and techniques as I post different blogs as well as keep everyone posted about the trial and joys of being a first time racehorse owner.  Hope everyone enjoys and please feel free to ask questions and post your opinions.
